Dined & Wined harnesses the built in advertising power in restaurants to sell specially procured retail wines





At Dined & Wined, our mission is to fundamentally change how quality wine is discovered and purchased.
Our platform is a structural modernization of wine buying: a shift from “buying blind” to “buying confidently through taste validation,” and from restaurants passively influencing to actively sharing in the downstream retail revenue they create.

Mike Friedwald is a former wine sommelier at the illustrious ‘21’ Club, where he increased wine sales revenue by more than 100% in just two short years before leaving to open his own shop The Wine Special-List in 2015. Mike was also a sommelier at Michelin Star Juni in NYC, under Australian Chef Shawn Hergatt. Prior to that, Mike honed his skills selling wine at Smith & Wollensky’s New York & Las Vegas. Mike trained under close family friend & mentor Paul Bullard, whose Napa wholesale company has represented elite winemakers like Helen Turley & Christophe Baron since the advent of the Napa/Sonoma boom.

Michael Jenkins is a 20-year veteran in fine dining who has worked in upper management for storied establishments like “The River Café” “Water Club” “Smith & Wollensky” and New York’s famous ‘21’ Club. To fortify his passion for wine, Michael achieved a certificate from the Sommelier Society of America, studying under beloved Master Sommelier and author Joe Delisio “The Wine Primer” of NYC. Michael was part of an executive team at ‘21’ that built & facilitated an 83-page /1200 selection Wine Spectator Grand Award Winning Wine List, one of few in the world.

Dined & Wined is initiating its fundraising with a $400K seed round as part of a broader $2M capital raise to launch the business and establish its first market. This initial tranche of capital will be used to activate the Tucson pilot by building the logistics infrastructure needed to validate the model. This phased approach allows the company to de-risk execution while building momentum toward a scalable, multi-city platform.
